DescriptionFiring switch. This switched powered the firing lines to which the explosives were connected. They were always left with the knife blades in the open position and the door was padlocked closed. Firing time was generally at the end of shift; 3pm, 11pm and 7am. In this case there are two firing circuits each with their own switch, box and padlocks. Here the doors are locked and the handle of the knife switch can be seen in the open position.
